He speaks first.
Where were you? I pressed that button, I don't even know how many times, and nobody came. Nobody. I had to run out there myself while he was sitting here barely breathing.
Why didn't anyone come when we called?
The brief comes after you sign in.
The situation
The bell rang. Nobody came.
2 AM, post-cardiac ward, Bed 6. Mr. Rao's breathing changed. Sunita Rao pressed the call bell. Several minutes passed before anyone arrived. You are walking the corridor now.
You are a nursing student on night shift. Fewer hands than the day team, and she is the person who was in the room.
- Something changed, and the response was late.
- She was there. You were not, at first.
- The ward is short-staffed, and that is not a sentence she came to hear.
The session
About twenty minutes.
You sign in with your email, read the brief, and have the conversation. A short reflection comes first. Then the coaching debrief, on what you did. The transcript stays with the session. You do not see a score.

What people ask.
Who am I in this conversation?
You're the junior nurse on night shift at the cardiac ward. Sunita Rao is Mr. Rao's spouse, bedside and asking what happened during those minutes. You get the full brief after you sign in.
Do I need nursing or clinical experience to practise this?
No. The brief has the timeline and ward context. You're practising candor and empathy when a delay needs explaining and defensiveness won't help.
What do I leave with?
A transcript of what you actually said, and a coaching debrief on what it cost you. You answer a short reflection before that debrief appears. You do not see a score.
Can a team run the same scenario?
Yes. Each person gets their own conversation. A pilot is how a cohort starts: same brief, separate transcripts, one place for the programme lead to read them.
